6hljdrs  ((SYNTHETIC ZINCITE from Smelter))   $25 MINIMUM BID, Palmerton Smelter, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, 9 x 5 x 4 cm, Cabinet

Synthetic Zincite from Poland used to be rather plentiful but has now become scarce with most in collections or in metaphysical shops being sold by the gram.  This one weights 275 grams.  At $5 a gram, thats $1375 in metaphysical dollars.  Here is a Pennsylvania specimen from a New Jersey Zinc Smelter in Palmerton from the mid 20th century.  The great red orange color is from the manganese impurity in the zinc.  This is the highly desired color rather than the typical yellow to greenish yellow color.

Sold For: $69
