 | Here is artificial glass formed from the fused sand from the site of the first nuclear bomb at Trinity, New Mexico on July 16, 1945. Mildly radioactive but safe to handle with washing hands. Less than most radioactive. Usually displayed in Riker boxes. No collecting is allowed at the site today. This is from material collected by a local rock shop in the 50's. |
