10hhkk.r ((2 WURTZITE)), Fluorescent, $25 MINIMUM BID, FLUORESCENT and TRIBOLUMINESCENT, Horn Silver Mine, Frisco, San Francisco Mining District, San Francisco Mts, Beaver Co., Utah, USA, 1.5 and 3 cm, Thumbnail and Miniature | |
This was in a plastic compartment box and from the small collection with the native element samples. Small but very fine specimens of this famous but rare occurance in Utah. Mine access is a death trap and not worth the risk of harm to collect specimens that may or may not even be found. Fluoresces orange under UV SW and is also Triboluminescent (appears to throw sparks when struck together). I tried to take a photo of the orange Fluorescent but did not show up well since it was not completely dark, but visually does fluoresce nicely orange |
