17hhph.r   ((GOETHITE pseudomorph after BARITE)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Colorado No. 1 Mine, Tintic Distict, Utah County, Utah,  9 x 7 x 3 cm, Cabinet

Black Goethite replacing white Barite crystals. Goethite is lustrous under a loop but not when viewing with the eye. Minor chipping to crytal edges in some areas showing the inside of the crystals. Some have off color barite that looks like being replaced and some look like a thin hollow slot without the Barite. These may also be actually casts with the Goethite over Barite but the Barite is missing or a least not pristine but altering.
