_small.jpg) | Grey on the left side with blue grey in the center of the specimen and white on the right side. White may be Hemimorphite on the right. Grey looks like Smithsonite on the left. I am not sure on the blue grey center. Surface is small botryoidal surface like Smithsonite but the color looks like Hemimorphite from the 79 Mine. Common color is green for Smithsonite from the 79 Mine. Yellow Wulfenite remnants also more typical of Hemimorphite. So no firm conclusion. Label only mentions Smithsonite. So it was probably sold as all Smithsonite. If from the mine owners, they should know and it may be all Smithsonite. ex Dana Wilson MD collection #741. |
