 | Here is a flat Red Beryl crystal from the Thomas Range aka topaz Mountain at the base of Topaz crystals from Utah. The Red Beryl crystals from the Wah Wah Mts are prismatic. These while still hexagonal are flat. These combinations of Red Beryl and Topaz are very uncommon at the best and probably just down right rare. The most aesthetic examples are pricey. I have only had three of these. The other two had the Red Beryl directly attached to the Topaz and purchased from self collector and claim owner John Holfert and were expensive. This one has the Topaz at the base which is part of the matrix or matrix included Topaz and was part of a TN collection purchased at Tucson several years ago. ex Fran Ewing collection. |
