99btdl.tr ((FLUORITE coated with QUARTZ druse)), Fluorescent, $225 MINIMUM BID, Deer Trail Mine, Mount Baldy Mining District, Cottonwood Creek, Piute Co., Utah, USA,  15 x 11 x 8.5 cm, Cabinet

cubo octahedral sea green Fluorite crystals which are very fluorescent. Back side or bottom has some black Manganese oxide coating. Generally the specimens are prepped by dissolving the Quartz druse with HF acid, one of the most dangerous acids to work with. Professional cleaning like getting your car fixed is very expensive. Recently a group of specimens collected in 1982 has only the Quartz cleaned to a sparkling white including removing the Manganese oxides saving the cost and danger of the HF. But the specimens are all white without any color
