This is the best out of hundreds or thousands of similar sized specimens that are undamaged and sharp and lustrous but do not sit perfectly for display. 2.7 cm on each side of the Pyrite cubic crystal. It may have been glued back into the the matrix since the crystals may pop out during the cleaning and removing of the Marl Matrix. Some large matrix specimens of smaller cubic Pyrite have several corner shaped indents where the cubes have popped out and are missing the Pyrite crystal. These are hard to photograph with the high luster causing a white out on one hand. On the other the faces look black |
