_small.jpg) | Unusual Amethyst cluster of Quartz inside a Dugway Geode. Unusual in that most are normal white or translucent Quartz. Also the size of the mound of Quartz is much larger than normal. I have seen some very very large Dugway geodes too large for a cabinet or house specimen. These are generally in flower gardens. These specimen is only a part of a geode and may have been part of one of these huge Dugway geodes that are too large to carry and so broken into smaller more easy to handle pieces. ex Glen Davidson collection |
