1373nrs BARITE on FLUORITE, Minimum Bid $500, Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, 22 x 17 x 11 cm, Large cabinet,

Here is a superb Elmwood specimen. The main Fluorite crystal is 4 1/2 inches wide. There are also two partial crystals of light purple Fluorite. The back is naturally etched with no cleavage damage. It is actually an etched Floater. The top and side of the main Fluorite is covered with white foamy Barite. Best of all, the piece is UNDAMAGED front and back. The purple Fluorite is translucent and lights up with backlighting. A small amount of Sphalerite is present in the center of the backside. The one photo shows the backlighting. The mine is now closed.
