 | The plate is only 2 to 3 cm thick but the one crystal extends to 10 cm. Here is Both the largest and best specimen of this particular type of Calcite from Ophir. NO DAMAGE. Large double terminated untwinned scalenohedral Calcite crystals to 11 cm on a plate covered with smaller terminated Calcite crystals in the 1 to 2 cm range. There is a slight bit of natural etching and the tips and etches are slightly rounded. NO cleavage damage from collecting or handling. The back is similar to the front except the large Calcites are on the front and top. |
