14idmw.ar    ((RED JASPER, CELESTINE, et. al.)),   $65 MINIMUM BID, Celestite Queen Mine, Green River area, Emery County, Utah,  25 x 15 x 10 cm,  Large Cabinet

Three large vugs filled with crystals of Celestine. Only photographed two of the vugs. Specimens have been typically collected as geode like nodules that have weathered out of the massive formation. About 10 years ago a claim, mine on 2.5 areas mined a non weathered out area digging out the massive matrix rock containing the vugs line with red Jasper prior to weathering out as geodes. Geode were normally cracked open to expose the crystals many times with the geode ending up in pieces. Sawing would saw through the crystals in the vugs. This mine produced large specimen vugs filled with crystals. This is an excellent large specimen with multiple pockets, vugs. Low minimum since it is bit large to take to shows.
