 | Orange Calcite and purple Fluorite make up the matrix with a 6.5 cm single terminated dark green Fluorapatite. The Fluorapatite crystal has a crack about a third of the way down the crystal. Sometimes these crystals have cracks before mining and after mining during removing the matrix rock of Calcite and Fluorite inorder to expose the Fluorapatites. While I can not tell and have not put the specimen into acetone to dissolve any hidden glue, the specimen may have been repaired and the crystal top glued in place. It was sold to me as not being repaired and is probably not repaired. |
