96hhsh.nr ((PYRITE)), $35 MINIMUM BID, Four Metals Mine, Bullion Canyon, Tooele County, Utah, 5 x 4 x 3 cm, Miniature

Here is an uncommon cluster of Pyrite crystals from the Four Metals Mine. Pyrite crystals are mostly in a matrix that crumbles when wet so that most specimens are loose single crystals with no matrix. This is and uncommon specimen with a matrix made up sparkling Hematite which does not crumble when wet. This is specimen 28 of 50 of the best Pyrite specimens collected by Solon Hammack. I bought his Pyrite collection in 1996 consisting of Four Metals, Moon Light, and Berta mines from Utah collection of the best specimens Solon collected and keep as an Utah Pyrite suite. ex Solon Hammack
